Nashville, Tenn. Montecito Medical, one of the nation’s most active investors in medical outpatient real estate, has acquired a 10,690-SF ambulatory surgery center (ASC) property in Covington, Louisiana.
The newly constructed building is 100% occupied by Cardiovascular Specialty Care Center of Covington. The center includes two purpose-built operating suites and a PET scan imaging room.
“Cardiovascular procedures represent the fastest-growing ASC specialty segment, and we are thrilled to add this brand-new, high-acuity asset to our portfolio and enter into a long-term relationship with these providers,” said Rus Gudnyy, Senior Vice President of Investments at Montecito Medical.
Covington, on the north shore of Lake Ponchartrain and approximately 40 miles north of New Orleans, is part of the state’s fastest-growing parish. The area’s population has increased by nearly 20% since 2010 and added over 10,500 residents between 2020 and 2023 alone.
The Cardiovascular Specialty Care Center of Covington is staffed by eight rotating physicians and is affiliated with US Heart and Vascular Holdings, a national cardiovascular physician practice management platform with a network of more than 200 cardiology and vascular specialists.
“The Covington property marks the 18th medical outpatient building we’ve acquired in the South so far in 2026,” said Chip Conk, CEO of Montecito Medical. “We look forward to announcing more acquisitions in the coming months based on our pipeline of attractive opportunities we are seeing in growing markets across the region.”
