Montecito acquires medical property in Spartanburg SC, area

Montecito Medical, a leading buyer of medical office properties nationwide, has acquired 29,000-square-foot medical office building in Gaffney, South Carolina. The building is fully occupied by Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.

Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is a dominant regional provider that serves Upstate South Carolina and parts of North Carolina. The integrated healthcare delivery system encompasses six hospital campuses, more than 700 physicians, and nearly 10,000 associates.

The property acquired by Montecito serves as an outpatient primary care and cancer center for Spartanburg Regional Healthcare.

With this transaction, Montecito has now acquired seven medical office properties in the Greenville-Spartanburg MSA. “This is a market area with very attractive fundamentals, and we are excited about the medical real estate opportunities we are finding here,” said Chip Conk, CEO of Montecito Medical.
