Montecito adds oncology MOB in Chicago area

Montecito Medical, a leading buyer of medical office properties nationwide, has acquired a specialty medical office building in the Greater Chicago area.

With more than 30,500 square feet, the single-tenant property in Dyer, Indiana, is occupied by Northwest Cancer Centers. The building is fully leased.

“We are thrilled to add this high-performing medical office asset to our portfolio, and we are equally pleased to enter into a long-term relationship with this outstanding group of providers,” said Rus Gudnyy, Senior Vice President of Investments at Montecito Medical.

The property is situated in the Chicago MSA, approximately 25 miles southeast of downtown Chicago.

Northwest Cancer is the most advanced oncology group in Northwest Indiana, with more than a dozen physicians and five locations across the area. The group is affiliated with US Oncology, which operates a nationwide, community-based cancer treatment and research network, sharing the benefit of more than two decades’ expertise in oncology practice management.

“As we steadily expand our footprint in the Chicagoland area, we continue to find excellent opportunities to serve our company and our investors while helping our physician tenant groups thrive,” said Chip Conk, CEO of Montecito Medical.
