Montecito Medical, one of the nation’s most active acquirers and developers of medical outpatient real estate, has partnered with Ardent Health Services in opening a new urgent care in Pocatello, Idaho.
Montecito provided capital and development oversight for the newly constructed, 3,774-SF freestanding building, which Portneuf Urgent Care occupies in partnership with Ardent Health Services. The fully leased space was delivered ahead of schedule, opening for its first patient visit in late January. The facility is designed to serve 100,000 residents in Pocatello, the largest city in southeastern Idaho, and the surrounding area.
“We are excited to have played a key role in the development of this new property, which expands access to care in Southeast Idaho, and for the opportunity to develop this new medical facility for a nationally respected health system like Ardent,” said Ken Birdsong, Senior Vice President of Development at Montecito Medical.
Ardent Health is a leading provider of healthcare in growing mid-sized urban communities across the U.S. Through its subsidiaries, Ardent delivers care through a system of 30 acute care hospitals and 280 sites of care with over 1,900 employed and affiliated providers across six states.
Oman Gibson Associates also provided development services, and Beyer Construction served as general contractor.
“Development services are an increasingly important way that our company serves growth-oriented health systems and provider groups,” said Chip Conk, CEO of Montecito Medical. “Our development pipeline has never been more robust as we help healthcare organizations meet the rapidly growing demand for new outpatient properties.”
Montecito offers a full array of flexible development services, with the discretionary capital to fund medical real estate projects valued up to $100 million. The company’s team has more than 40 years of healthcare development experience, strengthened by relationships with top architecture, engineering, and construction firms. Share a Property with Us
