Montecito Medical, a leading acquirer of medical office properties nationwide, has acquired an 11,118-square-foot medical building in Hammond, IN.
The building is 100% occupied by the Williams Eye Institute and serves as the group’s flagship location. The property is situated approximately 25 miles south of downtown Chicago.
“We are thrilled to make another medical real estate acquisition in one of the nation’s most attractive and dynamic markets and to build a relationship with this outstanding group of medical providers,” said Rus Gudnyy, Senior Vice President of Investments at Montecito Medical.
Montecito worked alongside Entheos Capital Partners in completing the transaction.
With a history of delivering care in the same Hammond location for over 35 years, Williams Eye Institute is one of Northwest Indiana’s best established providers. The group provides a full range of eye care, from general ophthalmology to advanced cataract surgery. In addition to the property Montecito acquired, the group maintains a medical office in nearby Merrillville, IN.
The acquisition expands Montecito’s growing footprint in the Chicago area. Over the previous year, the company also recently acquired medical office properties in Schaumburg, Naperville, and Rosemont, Illinois. “As we increase our investment in this MSA, we are excited by the level of interest we are seeing from providers and other medical office owners looking for opportunities to make the most of their real estate and build stronger practices through AI-powered technology solutions,” said Chip Conk, CEO of Montecito Medical.
