Montecito Medical, a leading acquirer of medical office properties nationwide, has completed the acquisition of seven medical office buildings in upstate South Carolina.
Concentrated in the Greenville and Clemson market areas, the seven properties represent a combined total of more than 88,000 square feet and are 100% occupied.
“We are pleased to add these high-quality medical real estate assets to our portfolio and for the opportunity to partner with a market-leading provider group in making the most of their real estate and in accessing AI-powered technology solutions to reduce costs, increase revenues and better serve patients,” said Bryan Brown, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions at Montecito Medical.
HREA | Healthcare Real Estate Advisors represented the seller in the transaction.
Six of the buildings are occupied by Clemson Eye, a leading provider of eye health in upstate South Carolina for more than four decades. Carolinas Centers for Sight tenants the seventh property. Both practice groups are affiliated with Eye Centers of America, which partners with best-in-class eye care practices and surgery centers in the Southeast to promote superior eye treatment and care.
Montecito also acquired properties in Charleston and Columbia, South Carolina earlier in 2023. “As we actively expand our regional footprint, we are excited about the number of opportunities we are seeing in this state,” said Chip Conk, CEO of Montecito Medical.
